Havre is approximately 45 minutes from the Wild Horse border crossing and about 2 hours from the Sweet Grass border crossing. Get ready for a weekend of big fun for our littlest hockey players at The Ice Breaker! Havre Youth Hockey Association is excited to welcome U7 and U9 teams to the Havre Ice Dome in Havre, Montana, for a weekend full of hockey, fun, friendships, and great memories on the ice. Our U7 division features cross-ice games with a 3-game guarantee, while our U9 division features half-ice games with a 4-game guarantee and championship play. At this age, hockey is about learning the game, building confidence, being part of a team, and having FUN. The Ice Breaker gives young players a chance to play against other teams, show off the skills they have been working on, and experience all the excitement of a hockey tournament. Players will also have plenty to celebrate throughout the weekend with participation awards, plus Heart & Hustle and MVP recognition in the U9 division. Our HYHA families and volunteers love making The Ice Breaker a special weekend for players and families. Between games, enjoy great concessions, raffles, games, and fun activities around the rink. And when you have some downtime, we hope you’ll explore Havre! Our community has great local restaurants and plenty of places for teams and families to grab a meal, spend time together, and relax between games.
