Using TourneyFindr
By accessing or using TourneyFindr, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
TourneyFindr helps people discover hockey tournaments and gives teams and organizers tools to manage tournament-related information. TourneyFindr is not the organizer, sanctioning body, host, registrar, payment processor, or operator of tournaments listed on the site unless a page clearly says otherwise.
Listings and tournament decisions
We work to keep listings useful and current, but tournament details can change and may come from organizers or public sources. We do not guarantee that a listing is complete, accurate, available, sanctioned, safe, or suitable for a particular team.
Before registering, travelling, paying a fee, or making another commitment, confirm dates, divisions, eligibility, cost, availability, rules, cancellation terms, and other important details with the organizer or official source. A source marked active or recently checked does not guarantee a place in the tournament.
Accounts and organizer claims
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact founder@tourneyfindr.ca if you believe an account or listing has been accessed without permission.
Only an authorized organizer or representative may claim or manage an organization or tournament listing. Verification through an email address or another process does not waive this requirement. We may ask for more information, deny or reverse a claim, restrict an account, or remove access when needed to protect a listing, user, or the platform.
Content you submit
You may submit listing details, corrections, source links, posters, application information, schedules, results, and other content. You keep any rights you have in that content. You give TourneyFindr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, format, display, and distribute it as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service.
You must have the right and authority to submit the content. It must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not violate privacy, intellectual property, publicity, contractual, or other rights. Do not submit unnecessary personal information, especially information about children.
We may edit a submission for formatting or clarity, combine it with reliable source information, hold it for review, decline it, or remove it. Email founder@tourneyfindr.ca about a correction, ownership concern, or removal request.
Team applications and organizer responses
If you apply to a tournament through TourneyFindr, the relevant Team Passport and application details are shared with the organizer. Sending an application does not guarantee acceptance, a response, or tournament space. Organizers are responsible for their decisions and communications with applicants.
Organizers must use application information only for legitimate tournament administration and in accordance with applicable law. They must not misuse, publish, or sell applicant information.
Acceptable use
You may not use TourneyFindr to:
- break the law, infringe another person's rights, or submit deceptive, harmful, or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or organization, make an unauthorized organizer claim, or misrepresent a tournament;
- probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, or interfere with the site's security, access controls, rate limits, or normal operation;
- use automated access that places an unreasonable load on the service or ignores technical restrictions;
- collect personal information from the service for spam, harassment, profiling, or unrelated marketing; or
- introduce malware or use the service to harm another person, system, or network.
Intellectual property
TourneyFindr's name, branding, interface, software, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may use the service for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, modify, sell, license, or exploit protected parts of it without permission.
Tournament names, logos, posters, and source material may belong to organizers or other rights holders. Their appearance on TourneyFindr does not transfer those rights to TourneyFindr or to users.
External services and links
Listings may link to organizer sites, registration providers, maps, social platforms, and other services. Those services are independent from TourneyFindr and have their own terms, privacy practices, fees, and security. We are not responsible for their content, availability, transactions, or actions.
Service availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or listings. We may also update these terms. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
We may suspend or end access for conduct that violates these terms, creates risk, or interferes with the service. You may stop using TourneyFindr at any time.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
TourneyFindr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TourneyFindr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, registrations, travel costs, or tournament opportunities arising from the service, a listing, an organizer, an external link, or your use of information on the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
